Storm King Mountain Ranch was built with one goal in mind - to create a wedding and event barn on the Western Slope of Colorado so beautiful that couples and families from all over the country would come together here to celebrate life’s most important moments.
Newly built in 2020, Storm King Mountain Ranch was built out of a passion for architecture and design. The original owners & builders of the venue had a dream - to create a stunning, modern rustic barn on a large stretch of property on the Western Slope.
Their love for authentic architecture and craftsmanship can be found in every detail, hand picking every element they used. From the ranch road leading to a beautiful tree-lined patio to the separate entrance for vendors, every detail was designed to ensure the perfect day for you and your guests.

One of our favorite things about running a venue is building relationships with our clients. At Storm King Mountain Ranch, the owners are the venue managers and we care about your experience from the moment you first interact with us, to the moment you walk out our doors at the end of your magical evening. We are your biggest advocates, your wedding planning partners. The person you can call whether your question is related to our venue or you simply need someone in the industry to bounce an idea off of - maybe even vent about something that is causing you stress.

About the Owners
Both raised in Montrose, Colorado our love for the Western Slope and the local Montrose Community runs deep. After living in multiple places across the country, our roots led us back to Montrose to raise our family. The Western Slope is home for so many reasons; we love being close to family, the natural beauty of the area is unmatched and our desire for adventure allows us to ski, golf, camp, fish, hike and everything in between right in our backyard. And we wanted to raise our children with a love for all of these.
In 2023, we were fortunate enough to purchase Storm King Mountain Ranch. From the moment we walked in the doors in December 2022, we fell in love and we knew it had to be ours.
Our goal is simple - to serve our community and create memorable experiences for those once in a lifetime celebrations. We understand that when you choose to host your event with us, you’re trusting us to help you create an amazing day that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. We want to give you the kind of celebration we experienced at our own wedding 12 years ago - one that still puts a smile on our face when we talk about it.
